No More Trump

The LGBTQ community will take action into an attempt to prevent the Supreme Court from denying their rights in the workplace.

The Trump Administration has recently said companies should have the right to terminate an employee just because they are gay or transgender, according to Buzz Feed News.  The administration is taking peoples’ chances away of trying to make an honest living for themselves.  If gay or transgender people are capable of doing their jobs, then they should be able to work.

Ciara Jones, Coordinator for Cal State LA’s Gender and Sexuality Resource Center, stated that “People will be fired.  People are going to lose their jobs, home, and all income. That’s going to cause trauma and fear.  People will need to fight back and have resiliency”.

The administration is taking peoples’ chances away of trying to make an honest living for themselves. If gay or transgender people are capable of doing their jobs, then they should be able to work. It’s discrimination. It’s not fair that people are being judged simply on the basis of their sexual orientation. That’s not important when it comes to the workplace.
